Dr. Sarah Holland

Dr. Sarah Holland is a registered forensic, clinical, and counselling psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists. She is also registered with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia. Dr. Holland completed her doctoral training at an American Psychological Association-accredited university in California, where she obtained specialized training in forensics and pediatric neuropsychology.  She fulfilled her residency training at a Canadian Psychological Associated accredited program with Correctional Service Canada.  Dr. Holland also completed a Master’s in Counselling Psychology at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. She is a member of the Canadian Psychological Association and PSI CHI, the International Honor Society in Psychology. Dr. Holland has been a certified Mediator with the Legal Education Society of Alberta since 2012. 

Dr. Holland conducts comprehensive psychological and risk (sexual and violence) assessments and has worked therapeutically with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families across a variety of settings (shelters, residential programs, correctional institutions, community mental health, hospitals, and educational settings) for almost 15 years.  She approaches her work with clients in an eclectic and integrative fashion that incorporates empirically supported treatment modalities that are need-dependent. Some of the interventions Dr. Holland uses with clients include Accelerate Resolution Therapy (ART), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Play/Art/Narrative Therapy, Sandtray, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Hypnosis, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
