Job Description
Wayfound Mental Health Group is a national centre of excellence in Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, and Toronto for timely, person-centered mental health care. We are a team of psychologists who have focused on developing specific skills in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of operational stress injuries. Although we have a broad referral network, we most commonly work with individuals who work in first response organizations and trauma-exposed careers.
Our practice is growing, and we are developing offices across Canada to serve first responders and first response organizations, veterans and military, and trauma-exposed professionals.
At present, we are seeking a part time or full time, clinician based in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. The ideal candidate will have broad clinical experience, and particular interest in working with individuals presenting with operational stress injuries (primarily PTSD). The successful candidate would bring experience of working in a variety of modalities, as at Wayfound we offer individual, couple, and family therapy. Familiarity with first response culture is considered an asset, as is previous training in empirically supported treatments for PTSD.
Our team is comprised of other registered psychologists, however ability to consult and collaborate with external providers with multidisciplinary backgrounds is regularly required.
Qualifications:
• Registered in good standing with associated college in autonomous practice with the College of Psychologists, psychotherapist, Social Worker of Ontario
• Relevant clinical experience in the provision of individual psychotherapy, particularly related to the treatment of operational stress injuries and PTSD
• Experience working with first response personnel an asset.
• Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
• Highly dependable responsive, effective communicator
• Ability to practice independently, with minimal supervision with demonstrated experience functioning within a collaborative team environment.
• Experience working with WSIB and disability insurance context would be an asset.

At present, we are seeking full time fully registered Allied Health Professionals (Massage Therapy, Chiropractor, Physiotherapy, Dietician). The ideal candidates would ideally bring experience working in a variety of modalities.
Our team is comprised of Registered Psychologists, Social Workers, Naturopathic Medicine, Acupuncturist, and Occupational Therapists. The ability to consult and collaborate with external providers with multidisciplinary backgrounds may be required.
Qualifications:
Degree / certification
Registered and insured
In good standing with governing body applicable to your profession.
Relevant experience
Excellent report-writing and communication skills;
Ability to practice independently, with minimal supervision with demonstrated experience functioning within a collaborative team environment;
Valuable Experience:
Experience working in mental health environments
Experience managing an independent caseload
Experience providing case management for Gradual Return to Work
Experience working with public-safety personnel and Veterans
WCB Registration
Compensation:
Fee wage split with employer. To be discussed upon interview
