Registered Psychologist

Kristjana (KJ) Fridfinnson is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists, practicing in rehabilitative and clinical psychology. She graduated with a Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology from the University of North Dakota, and completed her undergraduate education in Psychology and Criminology at Simon Fraser University. She has experience in both public and private sectors across various treatment, residential and community settings.

Kristjana uses a person-centered approach to ensure that clients have a safe place to explore, address, or normalize a range of distressing feelings and experiences. She combines a strong therapeutic relationship with research-based interventions to support clients in navigating day-to-day life as they work towards long-term goals.

In addition to individual counselling, Kristjana conducts comprehensive psychological assessments, with a special interest in adults seeking diagnostic assessments for ADHD and autism spectrum disorder.  She is also passionate about supporting neurodivergent individuals who may be struggling to find acceptance with a late-life diagnosis, or who wish to better understand their own unique strengths and challenges.
