Ian Allen is a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) and a member of the Psychologists' Association of Alberta (PAA). He has extensive experience working with veterans and first responders through his work at Veterans Affairs and the Edmonton Remand Centre. Ian specializes in complex trauma and addictions using a client-centered approach in individual counselling, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care to support patients on their mental health journeys. He uses evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), emotion-focused therapy (EFT), and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) to facilitate positive behavioural changes. Additionally, Ian creates personalized treatment plans through comprehensive assessments and collaboration with clients to achieve their goals.
