Registered Occupational Therapist
Emma Peters is a Registered Occupational Therapist with the College of Alberta Occupational Therapists and a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists. Emma specializes working with uniformed-personnel and military members.
Utilizing a functional, strength-based, and person-centered approach, Emma supports clients in working towards daily well-being. She holds a certificate in Prolonged Exposure therapy, is a Clinical Certified Trauma Professional, and has completed training in cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and dialectal behavioral therapy. Emma also has experience with home assessments and equipment provision.
With a holistic approach, Emma takes into account the impact of each person’s cognitive, emotional, and physical functioning as it relates to a person’s ability to participate in the valued areas of their life. Grounded in the belief that engagement and connection is foundational to mental well-being, Emma prioritizes the therapeutic relationship with respect, openness, humour, and compassion to support clients in reaching their goals.
