Braxtyn is a Registered Provisional Psychologist registered with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) and a member of the Psychologists Association of Alberta (PAA). She completed her Master of Science in School and Applied Child Psychology at the University of Calgary and her Bachelor of Science in Honours Psychology at the University of British Columbia. During her studies, Braxtyn worked as a behaviour interventionist which inspired her graduate research focus on emotion dysregulation and challenging behaviour in autistic children. Braxtyn has extensive experience working with children and youth with various needs and conducting psychoeducational, ADHD, and risk assessments. In her practice, Braxtyn believes that every child has a unique set of strengths and strives to help them build up their 'toolbox' so that they feel equipped to take on any social, academic, behavioural or emotional challenges.
