Alanna Caldwell
M.A.C.P.
Registered Psychologist
Unfulfilled in her role as a scientist working in the oil and gas industry, Alanna decided to pursue her passion for psychology. She graduated with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University in 2015, obtained certification as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200), and began her career in occupational rehabilitation. Her favourite things about her role as a psychologist are the profound changes she has the privilege to witness in clients who are recovering from the effects of trauma through Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and the opportunity to help her clients return to work and retrieve their sense of purpose. She incorporates a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities to meet her clients where they are at and believes strongly in educating clients about their symptoms and the recommended treatment to empower them to take charge of their own rehabilitation. She believes in her clients’ capacity for resilience – to learn, grow stronger, and recover meaning by working through adversity.
